Install Cordelia

Keep Claude Code's memory in step across your machines, end-to-end encrypted. Cordelia runs as a small background service on each machine.

Pre-release

The first pre-release (v0.2.0-alpha.1) is being prepared while the first two relays are deployed. Until it is published, build from source (step 1b). This page will say when the installer works.

1a. Install (once a release is published)

macOS (Apple silicon and Intel) and Linux (x86_64 and arm64). The script checks the download's checksum, installs cordelia to ~/.cordelia/bin, sets it up as a background service (launchd or systemd), and runs cordelia init. To install a pre-release, pin it: CORDELIA_VERSION=v0.2.0-alpha.1 before sh.

2. Pair your machines

One key copied in each direction, so each machine has been told by you which key is the other's.

3. Sync Claude Code's memory

On each machine:

cordelia sync claude
cordelia sync status

Your home memory follows you; each project's memory follows the project, matched by its git remote, wherever it is cloned. Folders that are not git repositories are listed by sync status and not synced.

Everyday commands

Relays

Your node connects to these by default. They store and forward ciphertext only, and hold no keys.

QUIC over UDP port 9474. Your node only dials out, so it works behind home routers and firewalls.

What stays on your machine

Your device key and your channels' keys live in ~/.cordelia, readable only by you, and never leave the machine. Claude Code's memory files stay plain files on your disk, exactly as they are without Cordelia. Keep that disk as safe as you would keep the memory itself.
