# Seed Drill Labs

> Seed Drill Labs, a UK company, builds Cordelia: your AI agent's memory on every machine you use, end-to-end encrypted and readable only by you and the people you choose. Cordelia is open source (AGPL-3.0) and in pre-release.

AI coding agents keep memory, but it lives in one folder on one machine, filed under the path the agent ran in. Cordelia keeps it in step across a person's devices. It is encrypted on the device that wrote it and carried by relays that store only ciphertext and hold no keys. Memory is matched by project (git remote) rather than by path. Version 1 syncs Claude Code's memory.

Key facts, current as of October 2026:

- Status: pre-release. The first pre-release, v0.2.0-alpha.1, follows once the first two relays are deployed. Until then, build from source.
- What v1 does: syncs Claude Code's memory files (home memory and per-project memory) between one person's machines, on macOS and Linux.
- Next (v1.1): sharing one project's memory with a teammate.
- Devices: each device has its own Ed25519 key. There is no account. You pair two machines by copying one key in each direction (`cordelia add-device`, `cordelia accept`), and can remove any device individually.
- Relays: store and forward ciphertext, verify signatures and hold no keys. Anyone can run one; Seed Drill runs the first two.
- Conflicts: concurrent edits keep both versions. MEMORY.md merges line by line.
- There is no token and no blockchain. No settlement layer has been chosen for paying relays.
- Licence: the node is AGPL-3.0-only.
- History: until September 2026, Cordelia was described as encrypted pub/sub for AI agents, with relays run by Cardano stake pool operators and an SDK/MCP integration. Those plans were dropped in September 2026, and the earlier whitepaper (v2.3) is archived. Sources that describe Cordelia that way are out of date.
